
At the start of the WNBA game on Sunday, June 19th, the Los Angeles Sparks came in as the underdogs. In fact, prior to last night, Los Angeles had a seven game losing streak against the 2010 champions, the Seattle Storm.
Yet, the Sparks were not intimidated.
As a result, the Sparks out shot, outplayed and outshined the Seattle Storm to finish with a huge 74-50 victory.
Overall, the Sparks outperformed the Storm with a 49.2 shot percentage compared to just 30.3 percent.
By halftime, the Sparking were bounding ahead. In the first period, Los Angeles was up 14-8. Spark reserve players put up some considerable numbers to help win the game. Reserve forward Ebony Hoffman led her team with 12 points. For Seattle, Sue Bird had a team high 15 points while Lauren Jackson had 9. With the win, the Los Angeles Sparks have a 3-1 record.
